Among the infections observed during ambulatory visits, the Urinary Tract Infection occurrence is second only to the respiratory infection. It is the most frequent infection in hospitals and retirement homes, accounting for more than 1/3 of all the infections in these institutions.

WHAT ARE
They are also called “cystitis” and they are infections localized on the vesical wall.
The symptoms are due to an inflammatory condition of the vesical and urethral mucous membrane. In the female population these kind of infections are very frequent. Estimates affirm that a woman in three has had a cystitis during her life, 20% of these has had a second occurrence of the infection.
